      Interim Partial ("Flipper") Post Op Instructions

 Do not eat with the device in your mouth. Its is not designed to chew with. It's purpose is for eshetics and holding the space. 

Take out the device when you are sleeping

To clean it, you can use a gentle non abrasive soap and your fingers or a soft brush. Rinse only with
cool water. Do not soak it in any mouthrinse, denture tablets, or any over
the counter products.

Remember, it takes time to get used to wearing it! Your speech may be
affected at first and your tongue will need to adapt to the new appliance. This can take 3-4 weeks to adapt.

 It is normal to have a sore spot develop in the first 1-2 weeks. Please let us know if you have any lingering sore spots and we can usually make an adjustment on the device to help it heal.

Bring the device with you are your regular cleaning appointments so we can clean it using our ultrasonic cleaner.
